wonderful collection, this pose is rather unusual, if not unbalanced, but it still retains a strong visual impact, strange green cast i have never seen on old prints…
thank you Dirk for your comment and appreciation. The pigmented prints are rather common in publications like die Bühne, Revue des Monats or Uhu. The pose is infrequent, yes, but we think the trick in the “balance” is in the use of a kind of dark velvety fabric that covers the platform and melt with the background. But that’s only my guess…
