The arrest of Catalan govt officials and charging of 730 mayors has special significance with thousands of ex fascist Guardia Civil back in the streets. He was later executed by Firing Squad, on the orders of the rebel fascist coup of General Franco, on 15th October, 1940.

This delightful Golden Age of Hollywood art-deco portrait captures Marion Davies in a carefree and casual style, riding a bicycle best described on press snipe: “A bicycle built for two, Marion Davies and Lawrence Gray pedal an old tandem in ‘The Gay ‘90′s’ in which she is starred by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer under Harry Beaumont’s direction.” The film would be re-titled “The Floradora Girl” (1930) before its release. / source: Grapefruit Moon Gallery on eBay
