The grainy city views could be taken from Fritz Lang’s silent movie classic Metropolis. Werner Kiera aka “Data Processor” captured his
images from webcams around the world via iPhone
and LiveCamApps. For this project he interspersed shots of various cities and revived the analogous
process of sandwich technique, in which negatives are superimposed and
exposed.
