Dumas worked as an assistant in the studio of the Hungarian photographer Ergy Landau before opening the studio Dumas-Satigny. Landau and Dumas continued working together with Hungarian photographer Ylla [born Kamilla Koffler] who posed as a model for both photographers, as in this image.
